I had over 2,000 pins on my wedding Pinterest board when I started wedding planning 😳😬😱

Talk about overwhelming!!!! I had stuff pinned from when Pinterest had just started (anyone else have those rainbow converse for the bridal party on their Pinterest boards???)

There was absolutely NO cohesion and I was so stressed trying to whittle down what I actually wanted for my wedding.

The time I spent 4 hours trying to find the perfect napkin color 😬🙈

It was my junior year of college. Pre-Covid. I had a big exam the next day but all I could think about were the napkins for my wedding 😂
Even then, I loved design. I had the time of my life designing my wedding! But for whatever reason I got so stuck on the napkins.
I had a colored wedding dress and I really REALLY wanted the napkins to match my dress. I couldn’t find the perfect match anywhere. Sooooo… I dyed my own.
I found white napkins at Aldi and hand dyed every single one of them and I don’t regret it one bit!

When the bride and groom love it so much they want a picture by it 🥹
Lots of late nights and mosquito bites went into making this seating chart but it was all worth it for this moment! I seriously started tearing up when I saw it with the florals and books.

Can I tell you a secret?
You’re allowed to be anxious about planning your wedding. It’s totally 100% normal.
Wedding design isn’t something that comes naturally to everyone.
If you have a general idea of how you want your wedding to look but you don’t know how to translate that from a thought to reality, hire a designer. My brides are always so thankful for someone to take their thoughts and actually pull out what THEY want (vs what they’ve seen on Pinterest a jillion times or what their mom thinks would look good) and make it happen.
