4 years.

Four years ago on a random Monday, I took a break from chemistry homework by the UALR fountain and took the photo you see in that Polaroid. There wasn’t a big announcement or a cool website. Just an iPhone picture of me holding a sticker with my logo and a dream that I thought would fail. I was just a college student taking a chance on something I loved. I had absolutely no idea where it would take me. Here we are four years later. These last four years have given me opportunities I never could have imagined. From being involved with Miss Arkansas, AYC, church camps, David’s Burgers, Benton Parks & Rec, senior pictures, prom/hoco, churches, weddings, businesses, and so many more, I’ve gotten to tell stories I once could have only dreamed of being trusted with. And that part still gets me. There are hundreds of more talented people someone could choose. Hundreds of people they could trust with their memories, their stories, their businesses, and the things that matter to them. And somehow time and time again, people have chosen me. I don’t think I’ll ever have the right words for what that means. FTG has grown up with me. It has watched me go from a college student doing chemistry homework by a fountain to someone who has gotten to create, travel, meet incredible people, and do things I never thought would have my name attached to them. There have been big opportunities and small ones, burnout, lessons learned, risks taken, and a whole lot of figuring it out as I went. I’m incredibly undeserving, but also incredibly grateful. To every single person who has ever booked me, shared my work, recommended me, trusted me, encouraged me, or simply followed along over the last four years, thank you. You’ve given that college kid with an iPhone and a sticker more than she ever knew to ask for. I have no idea what the next four years hold, but if they’re anything like these last four I know there’s a lot of good still ahead.

First Senior Sunday for the class of 2027. I taught this group when they were freshman during my first year teaching and then had many of them again last year as juniors. We went through a lot of growth together. This group will always be so special to me and I can’t wait to watch them all soar. I’m the proudest teacher ever.🥹🫶🏼

I really love when people reach out with a vision that challenges me creatively. It can be scary trying new things, especially when you struggle with confidence and are often insecure of your own work, but it’s fun and I’m slowly learning to be okay with just going for it. You’ll never know how things will work out unless you try.
