What’s a weekend in May without a kids birthday party?

First trip to the pool.

Ate a watermelon. Not pictured - but let it be noted I eat it like I do popcorn. Like a beast. There is no other way.

Summer wreaths are a thing if you think ahead and start drying flowers now. Peonies, roses, yarrow and olive were the stars of our wreath show for yesterday’s private class in immaculate back yard.

Bonus award goes for chickens who are allowed to roam inside the house (all white home, too, I may add) and for a host that keeps bees and sends me home with honey. 🍯

Gathering and making beauty from nature always hits the spot.

Memorial Day weekend was mainly about flowers. And, taking it slow. Which is still a novel concept for me.

got married. Besides having the BEST all time last name (FLOWERS) she was a model bride. Gracious, present and beautiful. helped with flower power. She brought the energy, talent and flower mobile.

In Northern California it is becoming summer. The peas have been ripped out, the tomato’s have their first fruits and the flowers inside my home make it a day less due to the warmer temps.

April was full. Full of feral children more than flowers. Full of finding out what I knew and fear of the future. Full of what is, what might be and frankly I did a lot of holding on as I waded through the funk.

May will be busy and we will blink and it will be over. So I Amy as well say, happy June.
