In remembrance. 🦋
Five years ago, we had the honor of creating Mizuho Americas’ 20th anniversary 9/11 memorial installation, using hundreds of origami paper cranes as a symbol of remembrance.
For the 25th anniversary of September 11, we were deeply honored to be invited back to create a new installation commemorating the 23 Mizuho colleagues who lost their lives at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
This year, custom-cut paper butterflies in varying shades of blue became the visual thread throughout the space — sweeping across walls and architectural elements, suspended overhead in flight, and leading guests toward the memorial honoring each of the 23 individuals.
From the expansive suspended installation to the individual butterflies surrounding the memorial itself, every element was created and placed with intention.
Five years later, a new symbol. The same remembrance. 🦋
An incredibly meaningful project for our team and one we were honored to be entrusted with once again.
