We’ve been hacked! ❤️PLEASE READ❤️

As many of you already know, my original market page SIMPLYCRAFTEDMARKETS was hacked on March 18th at 4:30ish AM. The hacker changed my email by pressing “forgot password” and using a bot to collect the six digit pin. Then they changed my email address. I received both emails from Instagram about the changes at about 4:30 in the morning. Obviously I was asleep and if I had been awake maybe I would’ve been able to get into my account quickly and change my password. This person obviously knows what they’re doing. They have asked for money in return for my page via WhatsApp. There is no point in doing that because I was able to get into my page for only about a minute that same day and I saw that another page was embedded into my page, they associated their page with mine which meant they were being notified if someone got into either one of those pages and they kicked me out of my own page.

I was devastated when it happened and I am still teary-eyed today. 12K followers and so many event promotions to promote my events and bring awareness to what we do… Gone in an instant.

Meta business suite is currently working to help me and has opened a case to retrieve my original page, but that may never happen. I picked myself up, wiped the tears, took a deep breath and opened a new page… and here we are. ❤️

Maybe I will get my page back maybe I won’t but I’d like to share this with all of you so that you can be aware in the event this could happen to you.

Make sure 2-step authentication is active on your Instagram account. Then download the app, Google authenticator or Duo authenticator to your phone and enable this authentication on your Instagram settings as part of your two-step verification.

if you ever receive emails, saying someone is trying to login from a different device or you get an email with a six digit pin or a text message that you didn’t ask for… Change your password right away. Disable your connection to Facebook. If you are running Meta ads. Be aware ❤️ please follow us and thank you for all the kind of messages❤️
