Sitting here in the middle of busy season with McKenna, and my heart is just full. 🤍
This year has stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. Being a wedding planner and a new mom during peak season has meant learning to be in two places I love at once, and some days, choosing my family over a wedding day I poured months or a year of work into has been one of the hardest things I’ve done.
But I’m so grateful.
Grateful for my husband, who has kept me sane and steady through all of it. Grateful for this (almost) four-month-old who has shown me a whole new kind of love. Grateful for my team, for stepping up and carrying things so beautifully while I’ve needed to be home. Grateful for my couples, some I’ve walked with for over a year, for trusting my team to bring their vision to life, even on the days I couldn’t be there in person. And oh so grateful for our vendor partners, who have shown me so much grace and understanding this season.
It’s been hard to be away from the couples and weddings I care about so deeply. But being here for my family right now is exactly where I need to be, and I’m so thankful to be surrounded by people who understand that.
Here’s to the rest of this wedding season. I’m so ready. 🥂
