Our Wedding Venue offers everything you need to create the stunning occasion you and your guests will always remember. Imagine your dream wedding day at one of York County's most picturesque farms. Located in the heart of South Central Pa., this unique venue has all the elements in place to ensure a perfect event in a crowd pleasing setting. Situated on 130 acres, this venue offers optimum privacy

and beauty, while providing ample parking for your guests. The 200 year old native stone barn has been carefully restored to its original grace, yet contains all the modern conveniences including restrooms, food preparation area, and theme lighting. Tables and chairs are included at no extra charge, and you are free to decorate using your unique theme. We have many props available for your decoration use at no extra charge. Amazing photo opportunities abound at Lakeview including water features, native rock walls, manicured landscaping, and as an added bonus, you can enjoy the beauty of horses grazing in surrounding pastures.

🐴 Meet This Week’s Featured Horse: Gretchen! 🐴

✨ Name: Gretchen
✨ Age: 6
✨ Breed: Thoroughbred
✨ Color: Bay

She may be named after a member of the Mean Girls gang, but Miss Gretchen is anything but mean! 💕 In fact, she might just be one of the sweetest horses on the farm.

Gretchen is the newest addition to our herd, arriving at the end of May as a lease horse for our lesson program. She is the definition of an “in-your-pocket” horse—sweet, snuggly, curious, and always happy to soak up as much attention as you'll give her.

At only six years old, Gretchen is still young and learning, but she has already come such a long way since arriving. She’s incredibly smart and continues to make huge progress under saddle. It didn't take long for her to become a favorite among many of us here at the farm. ❤️

Because Gretchen is a lease horse, we know she may not spend the rest of her life here with us. But however long we’re lucky enough to have her, she’ll always be part of our herd and one of our farm favorites.

You can usually spot Gretchen in the upper pastures hanging out with her friends Muffin and Willa. Be sure to say hello if she wanders over to the fence—knowing Gretchen, there’s a pretty good chance she will! 🥰

Meet Willa 🐴

Say hello to Willa, one of the beautiful mares here at Lakeview Farms!

Willa is a 13-year-old American Paint Horse with a gorgeous red dun coat and white patches. She has been part of the Millsaps family for the past 6 years and joined the Lakeview Farms herd about a year and a half ago.

Willa is an adventurous girl who loves trail rides and heading out to competitions. Maggie shared, “Even if we don’t win, I love to see the progress that she has made.” And as horse people, that is something we all love to hear. The bond, the growth, and the little victories along the way are what make it all so special. 💛

One of Willa’s most memorable outings was a Halloween competition where she dressed up as a hippie — and she pulled it off perfectly! A fun little detail about Willa is that one of the markings on her neck is shaped like a heart, which fits her sweet personality so well.

Willa is also very food motivated and will gladly do just about anything for a treat. 😂

You can usually find Willa in the upper pastures hanging out with her friends Muffin and Gretchen, enjoying the good life here on the farm.

Meet Muffin 🐴

Say hello to Muffin, one of the sweet mares here at Lakeview Farms!

Muffin is around 18 years old and is a Morgan/Morgan cross. She has been part of the Contract family since 2020, and her story is one of second chances, trust, and lots of love.

Muffin was rescued through Omega Horse Rescue after being pulled from a kill pen. While we do not know much about her life before 2019, we do know this: Muffin has made the most of her fresh start and has become a very loved member of the farm family.

She has always had a love for jumping, and Olyvia has taken her to a few shows and hunter paces over the years. Muffin is also a true groundwork queen and has attended three Balance Through Movement Method clinics. She is smart, willing, and, of course, highly motivated by treats. 😂

Muffin joined the Lakeview Farms herd about a year and a half ago and is now enjoying her semi-retirement with plenty of love, quiet days, the occasional trail ride, and a ba****ck ride here and there. She also has the sweetest soft spot for baby animals.

These days, you can usually find Muffin in the top pastures hanging out with her friends Willa and Gretchen, living the peaceful life she deserves. 💛

This week’s featured farm friend is Miss Cricket! 🐴🤍

Cricket is a 24-year-old Thoroughbred/Appaloosa cross and truly one of the sweetest horses here at Lakeview Farms. She is always happy to soak up attention, especially if peppermints are involved.

Courtney officially bought Cricket in 2019, but their story started long before that. Their friendship began back in 2011, which means these two have spent the past 15 years growing together, learning together, and becoming the very best of friends.

Over the years, Courtney and Cricket have shared so many special memories. They competed together in the 2’6 jumpers, and Cricket also loved getting out for hunter paces. She has always had a willing heart, a kind spirit, and just enough personality to make every ride memorable.

These days, Cricket is happily enjoying her well-earned retirement here on the farm. You can usually find her relaxing in the pasture with her buddies Ted and Khaleesi, living the good life and still convincing everyone nearby that she deserves a peppermint.

Miss Cricket is one of those horses who quietly reminds us what makes farm life so special — years of trust, friendship, and love that only grow sweeter with time.

Meet Ted 🐴

Age: 11
Breed: Unknown

Meet the smallest resident on the farm—but don’t let his size fool you! Ted is the undisputed king of the upper pastures.

Ted has called Lakeview Farms home for about a year and a half. Before his current owner, Courtney, brought him home, he was trained in dressage and liberty work, so this little pony has quite an impressive skill set.

Ted has a big personality and is never afraid to show it. Although he is incredibly sweet and smart, he can be unsure around new people. Please don’t take it personally if he isn’t ready to say hello right away! He also knows exactly how adorable he is—and often uses that cuteness to his advantage.

Ted will soon be leaving Lakeview Farms to begin his next chapter. Until then, keep an eye out for this special little guy in the pasture with Khaleesi and Cricket, and feel free to offer him a gentle hello from a respectful distance.

This week’s featured farm friend is a special one… meet Dragon Queen, better known as Khaleesi! 🐴👑

Khaleesi is an 11-year-old bay Appendix mare who has been owned by the Collier family for the past six years. Before making her way to Lakeview Farms, Khaleesi lived quite the exciting life with her owner, Nicole Collier. The two even attended college together and competed in multiple A-rated shows, including Tryon and the Virginia Horse Show Complex.

Khaleesi has placed in the top three in multiple classes and definitely enjoyed all the special treats that came along with those fancy show trips. In 2022, she was named champion at the Harrisburg National Horse Show in the 2’6 division — so yes, she knows she’s kind of a big deal.

Around the farm, Khaleesi is full of personality. She will jump the moon if you can hold on tight enough, and in her spare time, we’re pretty sure she dreams of becoming a cross-country runner. She also has a special talent for sniffing treats out of your pockets, helping herself, and quietly judging you if they aren’t “the good ones.” Muffins are her favorite, and she’s always happy to share a few sweet kisses too.

Khaleesi is one of the newest additions to Lakeview Farms, arriving a little less than a year ago. She has already become a loved part of the farm and is now helping teach the next generation of young riders.

Meet this weeks horse... Dash 🐴

Age: Approximately 13
Breed: Registered Quarter Horse
Color: Chestnut

Dash has called Lakeview Farms home since 2022, and he is truly the backbone of our lesson program.

Before becoming a trusted lesson horse, Dash competed in barrel racing. During a rodeo in Colorado, he finished just a few tenths of a second behind the fastest time of the day! These days, Dash has discovered a new love for jumping and teaching riders of all experience levels. At his first show, he even took home champion honors in a large class.

Dash lives with his herd in the pasture below the barn. During cocktail hour, you may see him wander over to say hello—and he is always happy to receive a few pets!

This week, we have a special treat for everyone… meet The 3 Amigos! 🐴🐴🐴

These three sweet boys are absolutely inseparable, so it only felt right to feature them together. In the photos from left to right is Rio, River & Cherokee.

Rio is a 32-year-old Chestnut Quarter Horse who came from Colorado many years ago. Back in his younger days, Rio was used on cattle drives and was also an incredible photography horse. He would patiently stand as long as he was asked while his owner captured the perfect shot — basically, he’s always known how to work the camera!

River is a 29-year-old Registered Paint and came from the same Montana ranch as Cherry. River is the definition of safe, sweet, kind, and snuggly. He has been a longtime resident of the farm and is one of those horses who instantly makes everyone feel at ease.

Cherokee, lovingly known around the farm as Cherry, is a 34-year-old Registered Paint and the oldest gentleman here at Lakeview Farms. Cherry came to us from a ranch in Montana and has been part of the farm family for so long, we’ve honestly lost track of the years. He is as sweet as they come and loves soaking up attention from anyone willing to stop and say hello.

Together, these three are the oldest horses on the farm, and they are truly living their best lives — enjoying green pastures, quiet days, and plenty of love from everyone who visits.

With their calm, gentle personalities, the 3 Amigos have a special way of stealing hearts here at Lakeview Farms. Don’t be surprised if you spot them relaxing near the celebration and quietly reminding everyone that love, friendship, and a little farm charm are what make this place so special. 🤍

Meet This Week's Featured Horse: Windyfoot! 🐴
✨ Age: 8 years old
✨ Color: Tri-Color Paint
✨ Breed: Registered Paint Horse

Windy came to Lakeview Farms from Colorado about 4–5 years ago when he was just 3 years old, and he has been keeping us laughing ever since.

Around the farm, Windy is known for having one of the most mischievous personalities in the herd. He is playful, curious, and always seems to know exactly how to get attention. Whether he is out enjoying a trail ride or hanging with his pasture friends, Windy brings plenty of personality wherever he goes.

He has a true love for adventure and especially enjoys exploring the trails here in Pennsylvania and out west in Colorado. Most summers, Windy gets to spend some time back out West with one of his buddies — and this year, Chico gets to join him.

When Windy is home at Lakeview Farms, you can usually find him with his herd in the pasture below the ceremony site. And on wedding days, don’t be surprised if you catch him peeking over the stone wall during cocktail hour, hoping for a few pets.

He is one of the many personalities that makes our working horse farm such a special place to celebrate.

🐴 Meet This Week's Featured Horse: Mr. T! 🐴

✨ Age: 12 years old
✨ Color: Smokey Buckskin
✨ Breed: Quarter Horse

Say hello to Mr. T, one of the handsome residents here at Lakeview Farms!

Mr. T is a 12-year-old Smokey Buckskin Quarter Horse with plenty of personality and a story to match. He made his way to Pennsylvania from the Midwest about 7 years ago, bringing with him a background in the rodeo world.

In his younger days, Mr. T competed in team roping as a header, showing off the athleticism and intelligence Quarter Horses are so well known for. These days, “T,” as we lovingly call him around the farm, enjoys a much more relaxed lifestyle.

You can usually find him out in the pasture, soaking up the sunshine, grazing, and spending time with his best buddy Chico. He has traded the competition arena for peaceful farm days — and we’d say he’s living his very best life. 💛

Be sure to give Mr. T a wave next time you see him at Lakeview Farms!
