September 12. I had the honor of officiating a wedding at Ashven Estate. It is a beautiful venue. I would definitely recommend looking at this location for a wedding. You can also book it for other parties as well.

Sunday I had the chance to visit a beautiful venue and celebrate our friends Joey and Donna’s 50th wedding anniversary. ❤️

One of my favorite details from the evening was something so simple, but so meaningful. Each guest received a red Solo cup, a Dr Pepper, and a bag of barbecue potato chips.

When Joey and Donna first started dating, money was tight, so several of their dates consisted of sharing a 2-liter Dr Pepper and a bag of barbecue chips. 🥹 Fifty years later, they brought that little piece of their love story into their anniversary celebration.

It was such a sweet reminder that a beautiful marriage isn’t built on expensive dates or elaborate moments—it’s built on all of the little memories you create together along the way.

Happy 50th anniversary, Joey and Donna! ❤️ Here’s to a love story that started with Dr Pepper and barbecue chips and grew into 50 years together.

And I have to mention the beautiful venue, too! Whispering Pines at Beck Farms was such a lovely setting for such a special celebration.

Two years ago, Regan and Saul said ‘I do’… and honestly, they are part of the reason Gather & Promise even exists. 🤍

Since that day, life has changed in so many ways. They’ve built a home together in Hinesville, navigated military life, and endured 9 long months apart while Regan was deployed to Poland serving our country. Through every season, they’ve continued choosing each other.

Marriage is such a beautiful thing because one day you blink… and suddenly it’s been 10 years, 20 years, a lifetime of ordinary moments that end up meaning everything.

My wish for them is simple: cherish it all. The quiet nights, the hard seasons, the laughter, the reunions after distance, the small everyday moments that are so easy to rush through. Don’t take a single second for granted.
