🕊️ Remembering the Tulsa Race Massacre
📅 May 31 – June 1, 1921
📍 Greenwood District, Tulsa, Oklahoma – “Black Wall Street”

On this day in 1921, one of the worst acts of racial violence in U.S. history took place. A thriving Black community was destroyed in a wave of white mob violence—homes, businesses, lives, and legacies were lost.

Hundreds were killed, thousands displaced, and an entire generation’s wealth and opportunity were stolen.

We remember the victims.
We honor the survivors.
We continue to demand justice and truth.

Let this be more than remembrance—let it be a call to action for equity, accountability, and the preservation of Black history.

GBW Career Mentorship program for teen moms plays a vital role in empowering young teen moms by providing them with essential tools and resources to succeed. By offering educational support, housing assistance, food aid, and career development opportunities, the program equips these mothers with the skills and knowledge needed to build a better future for themselves and their children. Young teen moms face unique challenges as they navigate motherhood while still being in their formative years. Programs like the GBW Career Mentorship for teen moms aim to provide crucial support and resources to empower these young mothers. This is personal to me the resilience and determination as a young mother who became pregnant at the age of 14yrs and had three children by the time I was 18yrs. Despite facing numerous challenges and generational curses, I persevered and broke barriers for myself and my children. My journey serves as an inspiration to other young moms who may lack support or guidance in similar situations.

GOAL: Supporting young teen moms on their journey towards self-sufficiency and success.
