In a short explanation when waste is introduced to the system there is a balance of good and bad bacteria to break everything down properly. This helps to keep all PFAS out of the drinking water. When too much bad is introduced it destroys the good and breaks down the system. So Be aware of what your actually poring down the drain. Yes this applies to septic systems as well.
