Hurricane Irma Update for our "Flower World":
Tuesday 9/13
Operations in Florida are resuming in various stages. We are open but not at full capacity. In addition to manpower, the three big things needed are electricity, internet access and a full inventory - and all are slowly returning. We are trying to sort out what is left in our coolers and preparing to receive air shipments later today and tomorrow from our farms in South America and Europe.
The airport has reopened but capacity is limited. We are hoping to have a decent amount of product landing which will reach our customers early in the week and mid-week (next week). We are taking what we can get which isn’t necessarily what we want, however we are trying to be flexible.
Most trucking companies out of Florida have resumed operations. We know everyone is anxiously awaiting product for weekend weddings and events. If all goes as planned, we will have a house full of brand new flowers available for Friday. Please contact your salesperson for the incoming rose list for Friday and we will keep you posted with any changes on trucks and inventory.
