In previous years, Gardens America® teamed up with De La Flor Florist & Gardens and Cooper City's finest to spread joy through Petal It Forward, a nationwide initiative created by the Society of American Florists to celebrate the power of giving and receiving flowers.

We're excited to keep the tradition blooming tomorrow, October 14, as we once again partner with De La Flor Florist & Gardens to share fresh flowers and brighten someone's day!

Stop by De La Flor Florist & Gardens at 10781 Stirling Road in Cooper City between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and mention Petal It Forward to receive two complimentary bunches of flowers, one to keep and one to share! 💕

On Wednesday, Oct. 14, Gardens America® will celebrate Petal It Forward by donating nearly 500 bouquets of fresh flowers in collaboration with De La Flor Florist & Garden Center and Deborah De La Flor!

This annual initiative by the Society of American Florists is all about spreading kindness, brightening days and sharing the happiness that flowers bring. We can't wait to see the smiles bloom across Cooper City! 🌷

Do you know just how much of the floral industry starts in Colombia? 🌸🇨🇴

Colombia is the world’s second-largest flower exporter, with nearly $2.4 billion in flower exports recorded in 2025. According to Asocolflores, 97% of the country’s flower production is destined for export, and approximately 80% of the international air cargo leaving Bogotá’s El Dorado International Airport is flowers.

The industry also supports 240,000 direct and indirect formal jobs, with women representing 60% of the workforce.

Behind every stem is an entire network of growers, employees, farms, logistics partners and floral professionals working to bring fresh flowers from the field to destinations around the world.
