One of my favorite things about the veil is the invitation to intimacy. Yes, that word may be a loaded word. But my favorite definition of intimacy is "to know and to be fully known."

A wedding celebrates the invitation to each other to know and to be fully known by the other. Where before, a veil separates the other from this privilege, the wedding day removes that veil.

Why do we love this shot of wrapping each other in the veil? Yes it looks beautiful, but the symbolism is much more powerful than the image itself.

Congratulations you two! May you be fully known by each other and wrapped up by that exclusive oneness that only exists in a marriage!

Friends,

Thank you for every referral, every review, every mention - every opportunity to capture your day of celebrating love. Our business which helps put food on my family's table, exists because of the incredible local community that holds up local businesses.

My wife .24 and I recently celebrated our wedding and we couldn't be more excited about a year full of many more! It is beyond a joy to work with my best friend, my partner and the love of my life! And we are excited to announce that we are fully booked for Spring, Summer and Fall of 2022 (excluding any pending inquiries.)

This is an exciting milestone after a very confusing and volatile couple of years when it came to booking weddings. Thank you all for being flexible, being courteous and being generous with your time and words. We look forward to a year of celebrating love from Napa to Lodi, Grass Valley to Tahoe, to right in our back yard. Tonight we are pouring a glass of wine of gratitude to be able to have such a joy of a career and to be surrounded by so many clients and colleagues, many of whom have become our friends.

6 years ago, we shot our first wedding at so this weekend felt a lot like homecoming for us. In these 6 years, we've learned so much. Made mistakes, like leaving gear behind between location changes remembers 😬 Made memories like meeting and working with the photographer who would become the photographer for OUR wedding We've shot locally, out of state, out of the country, out of the continent. But it always feels good to film at the feet of the hills I call home in the Sacramento valley.

If you haven't been to Yin Ranch lately, you need to find a reason to! (Please don't try and crash a wedding, bad idea) And of course, more from this wedding coming later this month.
