Because if you’ve ever wondered what the full Gather & Co. experience looks like, Fresh Off the Market might be one of our favorite ways to show you. 🛍️💍💐
The mother of the bride was one of Gather & Co. Collective’s very first clients to book with us, and from the beginning she had one request: keep the entire shower a secret from her daughter. Not just the theme, every single detail.
She gave us pieces of who her daughter is, the things she loves and the people who matter to her, and trusted us to turn those pieces into an experience.
And that’s exactly what we did.
📚 THE BOOK MARKET
Mom wanted to find a way to incorporate her daughter’s love of reading, so Gather & Co. created a book exchange market. Each guest was asked on their invitation to bring a favorite book to leave behind, then browse the market and choose a new one to take home.
🌸 DAPH’S FLOWER FARM
The second stop was a bloom bar featuring fresh flowers from Daph’s Flower Farm, where guests could create their own bouquet to take home.
🥨 THE THIRSTY PRETZEL
Market number three brought the snacks — salty, sweet or both. The Thirsty Pretzel LLC had snack-size pretzels for grazing, with full-size bags available to purchase.
🍪 THE BAKE SHOP
Our final market was filled with an assortment of treats and custom themed cookies from The Bake Shop
And when Mom couldn’t decide whether her daughter should have the classic bridal-shower mimosa bar or a dirty soda bar?
Easy. We did both. 🥂🥤
Gather & Co. also handled the food for the afternoon with individual charcuterie cups, sub sandwiches, yogurt parfaits, fresh fruit + veggies — keeping everything easy to grab while guests shopped their way through the markets.
Of course, the market needed the perfect spot to capture a few moments with the bride-to-be! We collaborated with Antique Charm to find just the right vintage pieces to pair with our custom pallet backdrop, bringing the perfect amount of charm to our Fresh Off the Market photo moment. 🪟🪑✨
But some of the most important details weren’t the biggest ones.
The bride’s late aunt had owned a honey bee company, so we quietly carried touches of bees + honey throughout the design in her memory. Gather & Co. handmade tiny honey jar favors for each guest, creating one more subtle way to make sure someone incredibly special was still part of the day. 🍯🐝
And then there was Mom’s biggest secret.
She had secretly flown in her daughter’s best friend for the shower.
Before the event began, we tucked her away inside Venue 31’s Makeup Bar and waited for the bride to arrive. 🤫
She opened the door.
She saw her.
And there were a LOT of tears. 🤍🥺
Four markets. Two bars. Food, florals, favors, invites, desserts, design + all the little details in between. A quiet tribute to someone deeply missed. A best friend flown in as the ultimate surprise.
And somehow, Mom kept the entire thing a secret.
