Can’t believe May is finally here!! Guess it’s time I post a recap of ALL the things I read in April! I was so glad to be in this month after only reading 2 books in March. It felt so good to dig back into some mangas and graphic novels (almost all of course with a superb green color palette), and I even go to read the upcoming graphic novels Love Bites coming out August 4th!

I was very clearly in my dissociative hockey romance era. BUT I also fell in love with Margo’s got money troubles. (One of my new favorite books ever).

If you’re interested in more in depth info on how I felt about these books feel free to add me on StoryGraph and check it out!

This has been a YEAR.

When I was looking back on photos through this past year I really couldn’t believe how much life that I’ve lived through this past year.

From having to pivot my business at the beginning of this year, to going back to the work force, to landing a dream job at a library, to acclimating to no longer being a stay at home small business mom, to learning to live in this new era of life. It’s been an absolute rough and challenging year. Not to mention all the med changes, weight gain, and health struggles I’ve faced over this past year to boot. 2025 can very happily see itself out.

It wasn’t all bad, I did get to make some wonderful dear memories with some great bookstagram friends, real life friends, and family members. I also made some new coworkers that have quite literally changed my life for the better and make every day brighter and better than the last (I’m honestly so lucky). The library job is a dream and I’m equal parts terrified and excited to start grad school to become a librarian.

2026 I’m looking forward to moving through with more intention, being kinder to myself, and making more time to dedicate to the slower parts of my life and the things and places that bring me joy.

So again, thank you all for sticking with me through this year, y’all really have no clue how much it means.

See y’all next year 💚✨

I laughed, I cried, I screamed, I was enraged, I found peace, I was mystified but most importantly this story left me in awe. Joe Hill is one HELL of a story teller. King Sorrow is one of those rare novels that covers all the bases and takes on a lofty feat and hits a smashing home run and I couldn’t be more enthused or proud. I wish I could mind wipe my brain so I can immediately reread this. Not to mention the audiobook performance was absolutely FANTASTIC. This book cast a spell on me from start to finish and I just couldn’t stop listening.

Special shout out to for his excellent elevator sales pitch recommending that I read this book and to .rose_reads and .horror for being my emotional support humans while I went on this wild ride.

what a damn fine wild ride this was and how thrilling it was to be back in another one of your worlds.

If you haven’t read this one yet, you’re missing out. Bump it up and get to it my friends!!

✨And for my next trick I shall razzle and dazzle you all with a book stack of some absolute BANGERS I’ve read recently. ✨

It’s been a little while since I posted a little book stack but these babies were BEGGING to get some spotlight shown on em. These books were all fast paced wild and crazy rides that I absolutely couldn’t put down. I loved being in each of these worlds and stressing out with these main characters journeys as they all went through their own trials and nail biting feats.

Have you read any of these yet? Which ones have you loved so far? Which ones are you looking forward to reading? Let me know below!

Wowza. This is ’s best work yet and it demands your full attention.

Harrison continues to unabashedly comment on the female experience while teaching and validating her readers in so many ways.

Clio is her most unapologetic character yet teach the reader that unapologetic doesn’t equal unlikable or unworthy of others love and respect.

This book was a perfect blend of Paul Tremblay’s Head Full of Ghosts and Grady Hendrix’s How to Sell a Haunted House but delivered in only the way Rachel Harrison can. another “pink” horror tale for the books.

Out September 9th, Go preorder wherever books are sold!!
