With more than three decades behind the decks, DJ Psycho has earned his reputation through deep record knowledge and serious technical skill. His sets can jump between funk, hip hop, electro and techno without losing the floor for a second. A former Midwest DMC competitor who still plays exclusively on vinyl, Psycho keeps the crowd guessing until the final record.

Jamea and Welsman come together as Ebony & Ivory, bringing two different musical perspectives behind the decks at once. Welsman draws from jersey club, footwork, bass, b***y house, techno and ghettotech, while Jamea brings her own rhythm and instincts to the pairing. Together, they trade tracks, challenge each other and keep the pace climbing from start to finish.

Fullbodydurag is a Detroit producer and DJ building a sound from jersey club, techno, ghettotech, R&B flips and heavy bass. The catalog stretches from original tracks like “BUSS IT” to a long run of edits that turn familiar records into fast club weapons. Fullbodydurag also appears on HiTech’s “Nu Munni.” If you have caught a previous BOUNCE THAT set, you already know how hard this one can hit.

Ember LaFiamma is a Detroit DJ, singer, curator and multidisciplinary artist with a wide ranging ear behind the decks. Her sets are built as a complete experience, not simply a playlist of tracks, with careful pacing and a strong read of the room. She knows when to let a groove settle in, when to change direction and when to push the crowd harder. Ember is back with us for BOUNCE THAT tonight.

JUST ANNOUNCED

BOUNCE THAT is back once more! Saturday night, September 19th, the fourth iteration takes over two stages at Northern Lights Lounge.

DJ Assault has been at the center of the night from the start. His accelerated funk and fast, bass heavy approach to Detroit dance music have shaped the sound of the city since the 90s and remain at the heart of what the night is about.

DJ Psycho and Fullbodydurag round out the inside. Psycho brings decades of experience and deep crates, moving across electro, funk, techno and beyond. Fullbodydurag brings a newer Detroit perspective to the night, with a fast, hard hitting approach rooted in bass, club music and ghettotech.

On the patio, Ember LaFiamma is joined by Jamea and We1sman playing together as Ebony & Ivory. Ember brings a wide ranging ear that stretches from R&B and soul into bass and club music. Jamea and We1sman come together for a high energy back to back, pulling from Jersey club, footwork, bass and ghettotech.
