🍷 Darioush was pure theater for the senses, where Persian heritage meets Napa grandeur. Afternoon wine tastings can sometimes test attention spans, but when you begin with caviar in the vineyard and move into a flight paired with bites, it’s impossible not to be a bit captivated.

The highlight? Their cellar. Imagine peeking into a treasure chest, a car collector’s dream garage, or a closet lined with Birkins - that’s the feeling when we saw vintages spanning decades, labels like works of art, each bottle whispering its own story.

✨ TK Food Tour | Part 1 – The French Laundry, Napa Valley ✨
We had the honor of experiencing (for the third time) one of the world’s most iconic dining rooms: The French Laundry, Chef Thomas Keller’s three Michelin-starred restaurant in Yountville. Since first earning the distinction in 2006, it has held those stars every single year, a true benchmark of culinary excellence.

The evening was nothing short of extraordinary. We were treated not only to their ever evolving menu of perfection but also to off-menu surprises. We were so thoroughly spoiled that - as my functional medicine doctor joked - we may be the only guests ever to ask The French Laundry for no more courses! We regretfully passed on the cheese course (still sad about that one) and even shared desserts, but not before being “walked” through the kitchen and wine cellar for what felt like the most perfect 7th-inning stretch.

Favorites? Nearly impossible to choose. The Pacific Shima Aji Tartar was a revelation - light, vibrant, and new to me, a sushi lover. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the decadent Mac & Cheese with hand-cut macaroni, parmesan mousseline, and Australian black winter truffles transported me right back to my Nan’s table, although she never had truffles.

This was just the beginning of our TK Food Tour - a reminder that in Napa, the food is every bit as legendary and thoughtfully crafted as the wine.

Guests were treated to a delicious trio of hand passed bites at the Welcome Event, including Wagyu tataki, pork crostini topped with fresh herbs, and buttermilk fried chicken.

Jim hasn’t had a hand-passed appetizer in nearly a decade, same here (except for one wedding and I shamelessly ate 10... they had caviar on top)! But, when he insisted we try the Wagyu tataki, I couldn’t resist and it absolutely delivered.
