Founded in 1992, Special D Events is a woman-owned virtual and live meeting/special events management agency and Detroit Destination Management Company (DMC). We work as an extension of our clients’ staffs from event concept all the way through to post-event evaluation. Attendance has ranged from 10 to 10,000 people. Services include: meeting architecture/design, live streaming, site research, log

istics, speaker coordination, trade show management, budget and supplier management, creative, registration, event marketing, audio/visual production and onsite management.

Highlights from a meaningful few days in Philadelphia with one of our long-time clients. The event brought together leaders, educators, and partners for thoughtful conversations. Participants embarked on a journey to learn from organizations shaping the future of education and community impact.

Last week we were in Colorado Springs for another unforgettable celebration with Comerica 🏔️

This year’s Distinguished Banker Event held at Garden of the Gods Resort and Club was one complete with curated activities, intentional moments of connection, and meaningful recognition woven throughout the program. It was an incredible few days for all involved.

After a recent event, our planning team worked to ensure post-event floral was donated to a cause the client supports. For this event, the floral was donated to the Charles H. Wright Museum. Thoughtful choices like this help us minimize event waste and make sustainability part of the bigger story, not just the set up.
