🎨 National Coloring Day with the Coloring Museum! 🎨

Watercolor Connections was honored to be part of this celebration of creativity in all its forms. Huge shoutout to Nova ɴᴏᴠᴀ ★ | mitski’s missing phone 📞 and Marissa Marissa Rubaiai who pulled up to get their Live Portrait Painting practice in and represented beautifully. Multitasking while painting live isn’t easy, and we’re so grateful for everyone’s grace as our artists worked at their own pace with confidence.

We were also honored to be part of such an intentional lineup of Featured Artists, each one handpicked to showcase a different form of creativity: Keirsten with edible art, Dave bringing his industry expertise as a storyboard illustrator, Leah with illustration, Trae with murals, Dr. Chanel with abstract art, Sarah with mixed media, and Victoria representing as an artist and creative business owner.

Thank you, Sherie Savage Sherrie Savage founder of The Coloring Museum , for creating space for so many forms of creative expression to shine together. 🙏🏽

Three weeks later, she’s still rewatching it. 🎥

That’s what happens when a portrait isn’t just something you hang, it’s something you experience. Every painting we create live gets recorded as a timelapse, so your guests don’t just walk away with art. They walk away with a story they’ll rewatch, repost, and send to the people they love, long after your event ends.

It’s the moment that keeps giving. The portrait hangs on a wall. The timelapse lives in their phone, their Stories, their group chats.

Ready to give your guests something they’ll still be talking about weeks later? Send us a message, we’d love to bring this to your next event. 🖼️🎨

🥂 Toast of the Town
🗓️October 9 • 5PM–9PM
As an entrepreneur and a mother, I know how hard it is to find real opportunities to network with other small businesses — and TechTown is the best place in Detroit to do it. After completing their Retail Boot Camp (Cohort 17) and winning the $1,000 People’s Choice Award, I’m now six months into 1:1 coaching with them. This year, I’m honored to be one of four artists booked to live paint at their bigge

Watercolor Connections + MCSDA present a free monthly summer series blending street dance and live figure drawing.

ARTISTS: 👨🏾‍🎨 come prepared with your own supplies & ready to challenge yourself to capture the full figure in motion. This is no easy feat, but trust me we’ll have fun with it! 🎨 (limited supplies available)

In this session at Tejara: Innovation Hub : Debke with Iman "Ayman" Mino , explorIman "Ayman" Minoe Murjaha (Swing), Mua’sat (Scissors), and Ghazala (Gazelle)—each rooted in storytelling and rhythm.
