🎷 Kimmie Horne Jazz Festival Returns to Southfield for Monumental 10th Anniversary Celebration August 8–9, 2025

Southfield, MI — The City of Southfield proudly announces the return of the Kimmie Horne Jazz Festival, celebrating its 10th Anniversary on Friday, August 8, from 6:00–9:30 p.m. and Saturday, August 9, from 3:00–9:30 p.m. at the Southfield Municipal Campus, located at 26000 Evergreen Road.

This beloved free two-day outdoor festival promises an unforgettable weekend of world-class live music, vibrant culture, and family-friendly fun. Attendees can expect a soulful blend of live jazz, food trucks, boutique vendors, fitness hoopers, and the ever-popular community bike cruise.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and get comfortable on the front lawn of City Hall as they soak in a dynamic lineup of award-winning talent and hometown favorites. Parking is $10 (cash only) and available on-site in the north and south lots. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Southfield Public Arts.

In 2021, the Kimmie Horne Jazz Festival earned national acclaim by winning the Cultural Entertainment Showcase at the 72nd Annual All-America City Awards hosted by the National Civic League. The festival received the most online votes out of 60 national entries, competing with cities from across the country to showcase cultural excellence through the arts.

A proud descendant of entertainment royalty—Lena Horne and Cleveland Horne of The Fantastic Four—she has graced stages from Detroit to Tokyo. Since founding the Kimmie Horne Jazz Festival in 2016, she has worked passionately to elevate the festival to international acclaim.
