What an awesome day filled with fantastic performances from the 6th and 7th grade bands at the Six Flags Music Festival on May 2nd! Students represented De Soto Middle School with pride and excellence. The fun that student had was evident in the smiles and laughter on the return ride. Check out some snapshots from the trip.

Did you know that De Soto Bands hosts multiple festivals throughout the year in our very own buildings?

We bring in professional musicians, clinicians, Grammy nominated artists, composers, and more for our students to learn from. Our students have the opportunity to learn and play with these professionals, often performing World Premiere songs made just for De Soto. We are also able to invite schools from across Missouri to participate as well.

The De Soto Middle School Band Program is proud to present our Dragon Brew and Roast for Sound fundraiser, running April 13–27. We are excited to partner with De Soto’s own Just Be Kind.

This is more than just great coffee—it’s a way to directly support our student musicians as they grow, perform, and represent our community. Funds raised help cover travel, clinics with professionals, performance opportunities, and more that make a lasting impact on every student involved.
