Big Boy 4014 Event Information:
The engine is scheduled to stop at the Commercial St. Crossing at 11:00 am and depart at 11:30 am.
We are expecting a significant crowd size and to make it easier to get to and around the event please
note the following road closures.
Southbound through traffic on Main Street will be detoured at Boyd St. to Second St.
Northbound through traffic on Main Street will be detoured at West Pratte St. to Second Street.
The 200 block of Main Street will be completely shut down to vehicle traffic.
Traffic restricted to Main Street businesses parking only will be open from 126 S. Main (DeSoto Eye
Care) to Boyd St.
Traffic restricted to Main Street business parking only will be open from 300 South Main Street to the
detour at Main Street and West Pratte.
Traffic at East Main Street at Rankin will be blocked to all vehicles.
Traffic at East Main Street at East Clement Street will be blocked to all vehicles.
East Side traffic should use East Second and East third Street for travel around the event.
The City will attempt to make the event as accessible as possible to eventgoers, but due to that expected crowd our main goal is pedestrian safety.
Detours and parking restrictions will be lifted after pedestrian traffic clears and is safe for vehicle traffic.
