Ricochet, Des Moinesβ first game lounge, is happy to announce their new location at 400 Locust in the Capitol Square building that housed the old Embassy Club. Brad Argo, concept developer of the original Ricochet housed in the East Village, and Mike Utley, concept developer and owner of the popular Americana Restaurant are teaming up to launch Ricochet Game Lounge & Social Bar in late fall of 2019. A The new space will be approximately 10,000 square feet of premium game tables, lounge areas, and a full-service bar featuring local craft beers and popular cocktails.
The new Ricochet concept will also include a 100-seat patio that overlooks the newly developed Cowles Commons. All the games will be premium brand and regulation size which will include table tennis, foosball, billiards, bags, shuffleboard, darts, and other surprises.
Ricochet brings a new energy to the popular downtown Court Avenue scene. The new space is visible from Court Avenue and caps the end of 4th street in the Court District.
Ricochet has a lot of history in downtown Des Moines. Initially the company started as a table tennis league called βKing Pongβ which started in 2011 at the Des Moines Social Club.
