Fabulous flavors at the CURE research building for Seattle Children’s Hospital workforce! Celebrating those that make research discoveries possible. ♥️ tofu banh mi, vegan lemon/blueberry cheesecake, salted caramel mousse cups with berries and angel food cake croutons, ahi poké spoons, smoked duck breast & cherry chutney, roasted corn and wild mushroom salad spoons… and a helluva lot more not pictured!

My Mamma made a voyage to Italy 🇮🇹 and stopped in Parma to check out some hams and cheese. Thank you for bringing me a chonk of Parm with amazing cheese crystals. Fun fact! These crystallizations in aged cheeses are calcium lactate crystals. In many aged cheeses, you’ll find these amazing lil crunchies that have a delightful burst of umami. To the untrained eye it looks like a problem. Good to know: white spots in aged cheeses that lie on or within the cheese are tasty friendlies. If you experience discoloration (grey, pink, green) on your cheese that lies on the surface and grows outside of the cheese ….🚨 that is mold and it is NOT the same.

Light and refreshing summer fare for this late August garden gathering. The Mediterranean -inspired menu is our most popular summer menu! Fresh fruits and veg for snacking, dips and sauces galore, with an abundance of GF and DF choices for our clients and their guests. On the menu: garlic lemon and herb roasted chicken thighs, harissa braised lamb shoulder, gf/vegan falafel with garlic tahini dipping sauce, wild rice pilaf with herbs and garlic, roasted potatoes with lemon and oregano. All served alongside tzatziki, house made hummus, toum, and chermoula. Thank you Melissa Cahoon for having me!

We are closing the doors. Big decision, heavily weighed in on and decided. End of August, RKC is closing her doors. THANK YOU! To the fine folks that have been amazing clients, THANK YOU to the vendors that have been such excellent comrades through this experience! We could not have accomplished so much without each other. I am sad to close up shop on this, but I am looking forward to the next adventure that awaits. We did 5 years and I did it really fu***ng well. Chef Lisa knocked it out of the park!!!! Thank you for your patronage, your belief in me, and your amazing recs of my service. We are nothing without our clientele. Please see me privately for catering side gigs.
