When guests walk into your reception, the head table is naturally one of the first places their eyes are drawn — so why not make it a focal point of the room?

This is the perfect place to go a little bigger with your wedding décor. Think statement florals, layered linens, romantic candlelight, draping, elevated centerpieces, a beautiful backdrop, or those extra design details you may not want to incorporate on every guest table.

Not only does a dressed-up head table help anchor the entire reception design, but it also creates a gorgeous backdrop for some of the most photographed moments of the night — speeches, toasts, dinner, reactions, and all those little candid moments in between. 🤍

There’s something SO effortlessly chic about an all-black bridal party — especially when the couple is dressed in white.

Keeping the bridesmaids and groomsmen in black creates the perfect contrast, making the bride and groom instantly stand out in every photo. It’s timeless, sophisticated, a little dramatic, and basically impossible to regret.

Hi, I’m Lauren! 🤍✨

It’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself around here, so whether you’re new to my page or you’ve been following along for years — hi! I’m so happy you’re here. 🥰

I’m the owner and lead planner behind Elizabeth Bliss Events, an Iowa-based wedding planning and design company built around creating beautiful, intentional weddings while making the planning process feel a whole lot less overwhelming.

A little about me outside of weddings…

☕ I’m almost always carrying an iced coffee
✈️ I LOVE to travel (and will happily travel for your wedding 😉)
🪩 I’m an extrovert through and through
🌲 Give me a day outside and I’m happy
🎶 Taylor Swift will forever have a place on my playlists
💍 And yes… even after 7 years in the wedding industry, I still genuinely love weddings.

I’ve been working in the wedding industry since 2019, and what started as a love for events eventually turned into Elizabeth Bliss Events. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to help couples bring weddings of every style to life — from romantic garden celebrations and elegant ballroom weddings to colorful, unconventional, and completely out-of-the-box designs.

My favorite weddings are the ones that feel like you. The little details, the weird ideas, the sentimental touches, the things your guests see and immediately say, “Yep, that is SO them.” Those are the moments I love bringing together.

And on the wedding day? You’ll probably find me fixing a veil, lighting candles, fluffing a dress, checking the timeline for the 47th time, hyping up the wedding party, or quietly handling a problem you’ll hopefully never even know happened. 😂

Romantic, intimate, and effortlessly iconic — these photos have a way of making the rest of the world disappear for a moment. Just the two of you, wrapped up in your own little bubble on one of the biggest days of your lives.
