After studying nutrition and working at Skyridge Medical Center, I realized that change does not occur on a grand governmental level. Public awareness has grown about the current unethical condition of the American food system. Social change can only happen through a collective conscience. The way to make change in your community is by supporting local merchants, farmers, ranchers and artisan food

makers. Our mission at Heirloom Catering is to buy and use local products whenever possible. We may never be able to promise 100% local meat and produce, however, we will strive to do so whenever possible. A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of catering a beautiful Celebration of Life for a truly special family.

Their father was a gardener, an orchard keeper, and someone known for extraordinary generosity. The kind of person whose hospitality made everyone feel welcome, nourished, and at home.

To honor his legacy, we created a menu inspired by the things he loved. We hand-crafted saffron corzetti, a traditional stamped pasta whose intricate designs tell a story long before the first bite. We finished the meal with saffron ice cream and pistachio cookies, bringing together flavors that felt both elegant and deeply personal.

Food has a remarkable way of preserving memories. Every stamp in the pasta, every thread of saffron, and every shared meal became a small tribute to a life well lived.

It was an honor to help celebrate a man whose love was cultivated through gardens, orchards, family, and a table that was always open to others.

Back in 2018, Zach started Rebel Bread⁠ in our Curtis Park kitchen. Watching him grow from those early days into one of Denver’s most beloved bakeries has been such a joy, and I couldn’t be prouder of everything he has built.

Now, somehow, we’ve ended up in the same building again.

This weekend we had the opportunity to cater a family celebration together. Zach fired up his coal-fired pizzas while we prepared seasonal appetizers, fresh salads, and saffron ice cream with pistachio cookies for dessert.

The food was wonderful, but the real highlight was spending the day laughing, hugging, and working alongside one of my dearest friends. These full-circle moments are rare, and they remind me why I love being part of Denver’s food community.

Here’s to old friends, shared kitchens, and the businesses we build together. 🥂

It’s salad season, and we are here for it!

Meet our Deconstructed Pesto Pasta Salad — a light, bright celebration of spring flavors and Colorado-grown goodness.

Fresh farfalle pasta tossed with shaved asparagus, crisp radishes, sweet spring peas, peppery arugula, chopped basil, and Parmesan. Finished with toasted pine nuts, fresh lemon zest, minced garlic, extra virgin olive oil, and a squeeze of lemon juice for the perfect balance of freshness and flavor.

This dish is everything we love about the season: vibrant, simple, and packed with ingredients that let the produce shine.

Happy Mother’s Day to our very own Zola. 💐✨

The mother of Heirloom Catering, the queen of the Honda Odyssey, and the calm in our chaos.

For over twenty years, Zola and Michelle have gone from dancing at the club to raising kids, running events, managing payroll, scheduling teams, and somehow still finding time to laugh through it all.

Behind every successful event is Zola keeping things moving while also reminding teenagers to do the dishes before dad gets home. A true ride or die, a powerhouse mom, and the backbone of our team.

Our clients love her. Our staff depends on her. And while she leads with kindness, don’t get it twisted… she will absolutely keep everyone in line. 😂🖤

Happy Cinco de Mayo

Today—and every day—I honor the ancestors who taught us the ways of old. Traditions that live in our veins. Our deep appreciation for food, working the land, music, and the arts continues through us.

Colorado was once part of Mexico, and we are fortunate to still live within that culture today.

May all our amigas and amigos stay safe—today and always. I hope there’s a pot of homemade beans and green chile on your stove, and fresh tortillas on the griddle—soft, warm, with those perfect little brown bubbles—ready for a swipe of butter to fill your hearts. And Besos for all!

Labor
Great events don’t happen without great people. From chefs to service staff, experienced teams are essential to making your day seamless. We believe in paying a living wage, and that investment shows in the quality of service your guests receive.

You’re asking a restaurant to come to you
