On Giving Tuesday, we ask you to consider making a donation to support something simple that community requires, and yet wildly underfunded- SPACE.

Space that is private, intimate, safe(r), comfortable, accessible, flexible, and pretty is hard to come by and it shouldn’t be a luxury item.

Expecting folks who are fighting oppression, marginalization, de-humanization, and defunding to beg for space to do their organizing, healing work, creative work, and regrouping is cruel.

On this day we want to remind everyone that for 14 years has been and always will be a place that aspires to be a safe(r) spot for folks, trans artists, and trans-serving organizations to gather, to create, to connect, to heal, to grieve, and to simply exist and take a breath.

The trans folks past and present who are a part of the Hope Tank community add depth, richness, and beauty to our little world of hopeslingers, and are intrinsic to the work we do to educate, activate, and encourage long lasting change in our community and beyond.

We grieve the global collective loss of these souls and will continue to fight for those who suffer the unbearable dehumanization perpetrated on you every day.

The gift of safe, comfortable, and private space is such an important piece of supporting grassroots community projects.

We believe that continuing to provide that space for joy, creativity, and healing is critical to those who have historically and currently marginalized.

When we only work to meet basic needs, we ignore the importance of human connection, creativity, and self expression. We are proud to provide a third space for folks to get that much needed support.

will be hosting Saltwater Stories- a monthly gathering space for Asian American Pacific Islander writers, no matter their level or experience, where they can generate or complete work. 📝

The goal is to foster a space where writers can explore, critique, and strengthen their writing craft and the hope is to cultivate a sense of belonging and validate the lived experiences of AAPI immigrants or those born in the diaspora.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️Death and grief q***r meet-up is a group for LGBTQIA+ folks of all bodies to share, create, cry, and witness our grief while cultivating joy and nourishing community.

We meet monthly, sometimes bi-weekly, to explore new tools and activities to discover what community grieving can look like. While we’re not a support group, our intention is to provide cozy spaces for q***r folks to feel comfortable exploring grief, breaking cycles of systemic harm and isolation, and de-stigmatizing conversations of death, grief, & beyond.

Big thanks to for supporting for 10 years, back from when she was a news anchor at and we had the retail shop, and she covered every story we sent about our nonprofit partners, all the way to now by bringing her staff to have their team workday.

Theresa was the only reporter who listened to me when I said how important it was to highlight all of the women-owned spots in our little part of Broadway in 2017, which at that time, was 27 in 3 blocks…today only 4 remain on that strip of Broadway.

Small business runs on loyal, consistent, caring customers, and we are so grateful to have had Theresa championing our work.

Would you like to host a workshop, series, or event at Hope Tank that serves COMMUNITY, but funding is a barrier to doing so?

Thanks to an awesome sponsor, I have 20 hours of Hope Tank rental time available plus a small stipend for art/craft supplies, snacks, facilitator, etc. to gift to a group doing great work!!

Money is TIGHT for all of us, and we know that many folks are losing their offices and access to event space.

We have lots of availability and want to get more creative about the Hope Tank space!

We are looking for a couple small businesses, small nonprofits, and creatives that need recurring regular meeting space, staff office days, workshop space, content creation space, or client meeting space.

The goal for us is to fill all of the available hours we can at with community members who need it, so we can focus on a new exciting project!!

So for those who want PRIVATE, comfortable, beautiful, accessible, flexible space with lots of parking- let’s talk and see if we can block out certain days/times for you! Whether you need 3 hours a week or 15, daytime or evening, let’s see if it’s a fit.
