You asked, and I listened: Here is part 3 of my Mini Mix Series: Techno & Psy!
Fun Fact: When coming up with logo ideas for this series, this particular logo (second slide) was supposed to be for a Bass Mix. Over time, I realized I wanted my Mini Mix Series to reflect genres I don’t touch on as often, so here we are. 😼😈
Another Fun Fact: When I was brainstorming ideas for my Mini Mix Series last year, I created a poll on Instagram asking what genre you would like to hear from me the most. House was the most popular answer. Techno was in second and DnB was third!
Although Techno was the second most popular answer, I was hesitant. It’s not the genre I gravitate to the most, although I do vibe to it in the right space and moment! However, I’m always trying to push myself to grow as an artist and as a human. So, I wanted to see if I could discover a side of myself while curating this mix, and I’m happy to say that I did. 💜 I’ve even had a few sets this year, where I threw in some techno/psy because I was feeling fun. 😉
Similar to my DnB mix, my song selection represents my discovery journey, which is where I also discovered my appreciation for psytrance & techno with psy influence. Which is why I decided to title the mix the way I did, because techno and psy were on the same path of discovery for me.
Acid, hard techno, hard psy, sing a long moments, I give a little bit of everything…even one song that is NOT techno/psy, BUT it is a remix of a popular techno song! 😜 I couldn’t help myself, I promise it’s a vibe!
This mix was the most rewarding one for me to curate in this series so far, and I hope you all have as much fun listening to this, as I did making it. 🐱✨
