Can you name one song that you’ve never heard?

Join us August 7th to Sing-Along with Strange as Angels - A Tribute to The Cure joined by the debut of Tinderbox - Tribute to Siouxsie & the Banshees, with guests Hang the DJ - Tribute to The Smiths brought to you by Nightstalgia at The Oriental Theater!!!
Invite —>> THE CURE, SIOUXSIE, THE SMITHS - Authentic Live Band Tribute presented by NIGHTSTALGIA!

Last night the Cure returned to the stage for the first time since 2024. Headlining Primavera Sound in Barcelona, they broke out some cuts they hadn’t performed in several years.

The setlist included “Mint Car,” the sunny single from 1996’s underrated ‘Wild Mood Swings,’ for the first time in a decade. They did “alt-end,” from 2004’s self-titled, for the first time since 2018. And the 1989 “Lovesong” b-side “2 Late” and 1997 single “Wrong Number” (from hits comp ‘Galore’) made appearances for the first time since 2019.

This was the Cure’s first show since multi-instrumentalist Perry Bamonte passed away in December. Joining Robert Smith, Simon Gallup, Jason Cooper, Roger O’Donnell, and Reeves Gabrels was Simon’s son Eden, who has played with the band in the past. Smith broke out his double flute for “Burn.”
“Por desgracia, todavía no puedo hablar español,” the frontman read off a strip of paper to great applause. (Translation: “Unfortunately, I still can’t speak Spanish.”) “Yeah, yeah, yeah, I’m here all week,” he joked. Then they played “Lullaby,” one of the greatest songs of all time.

The Cure have many more European festival appearances lined up this summer, but no word yet on a possible North American return.

People used to socialize and have a blast. They didn’t care what they looked like or what people thought of them. They don’t let their governments enslave them.
