BTW, Evan got all of his guys the ultra fancy sabers! You know; real metal handles & buttons, glass tubes, true-to-life sound effects, and the most insane, movie quality lighting effects.

I was so nervous carrying them around all day and finally just stashed them in a safe, dark place until they were needed. The Rebellion wasn't going down because of me and my clumsiness 😉😂

- Samie has been my go-to for cuts, colors, and styles for almost 16 years!! Me and my hair would follow her around the world for services. And sometimes have lol!

Hair style & makeup: Cassie Garza
- From the very first wedding Cassie and I worked together (15 years ago 🤯) to now, she's a trusted hair & makeup professional that always has my seal of approval 😘 I wanted to look like myself for this photo session. But, a little more done up than usual. It was also important for me to have a look I can easily replicate. Especially, as a minimal makeup girly anyway 😉 She nailed it!

On the last day of International Women's month, I dedicate this post to all of the women shining their light bright and leading their lives with love. Despite being asked or told to do the opposite.

To the women who are wildly capable of anything they set their hearts & minds to. And, align their feet and goals for that success. To the women who don't settle and hide when God has them marked for a bigger testimony or when things get hard.

Shouts of joy and congratulations for these two beautiful souls who became parents last week! 👶

Being at the start of their forever journey is something I will always hold dear. But, being in the loop as their friend, for all of the other big life moments... like welcoming a new baby into the world?! That's what makes what I do mean so much more than "just a job."

My creative brain has been begging me to put it to work! So, I've got a few editorial shoots currently in the works. Which got me thinking about my last styled shoot, six years ago...in the height of Covid. 🙊🙈

Our creative team looked to Claude Monet's Water Lilies series as inspiration for their individual contributions & interpretations. None of us were able to work on this in-person due to gathering restrictions. So, most of the planning was done via pinterest, zoom, and email.

All to say, that team of badass vendors still managed to pull off this beauty while carefully timing vendor deliveries, set up & install times, and giving everyone a chance for some bts shots & footage. A true feat in those unknown times from these pros 👇🏼
