No proposal. No big guest list. Just Kirsten, Josh, and Navajo peak towering above us at 13,409 feet above.

When these two told me they wanted to skip the engagement and write their own vows instead, I knew this elopement was going to be different. We hiked into the Indian Peaks Wilderness toward Lake Isabelle (moose country, if you’re lucky) and found one small patch of bare granite finally thawed enough to stand on, with Isabelle’s glacial blue stretched out right behind them.

No officiant. No script. Just two people who already knew, tying the knot on their own terms. Watching it happen had me rethinking everything I thought I wanted for my own someday wedding 😂 (but seriously.)

This is exactly why I push my couples toward moments like this: once-in-a-lifetime, completely unscripted, built around what actually matters to you. Not what’s expected.

Thank you for trusting me with it, Kirsten & Josh.

After months of careful, secret planning with Catarina, the most heartfelt proposal was pulled off for Claire at Roxborough State Park 💍

For occasions like these, there’s quite a bit of planning involved. We hop on multiple calls, understand the vision, map out the location and set a timeline to cover the full scope from start to finish. If you’re going to propose to your forever human, trust the planning expert to help you execute it perfectly.

When you loosen your grip on the timeline and let go of the need for everything to be perfect, something beautiful happens. You make room for the day to breathe. For soft light through the window. For laughter that comes easy.

And then comes the moment everything shifts. The first time you see your partner. All the planning, the nerves, the little worries you’ve been carrying. So much of it just melts away the second your eyes meet. Suddenly you remember what the day was always about.

Here’s the truth seasoned couples come to know: the most unforgettable days are rarely the ones that go exactly as planned. They’re the ones you walk into with an open heart and softer expectations. The ones you’re fully present for.

So give yourself the gift of a slow start. Lower the pressure, lean into the moment, and let the day become everything you’ll want to remember. These two had so many cute moments through there day I knew I would show them multiple times on my feed.

Styled shoots aren’t usually my world, but some invitations you just don’t turn down.

When my friend Jasmine called with the chance to work alongside M Harris Studios, I was on the flight to her workshop to Georgia. It was a masterclass. Watching a luxury photographer move through a day, hunting for details that make a wedding pop, were details I wanted to nail down before my own wedding season started.

I’d never been to Georgia. Never shot in a venue quite like this one, tucked into a garden setting that felt more like a secret than a location. The getting ready space alone was flooding with light. So many goodies to share from this day but here’s a few…

Thanks for the invite.

Some friends find you when you least expect them. I flew to Chicago to photograph Veronica on her wedding day, not knowing she’d actually been living in Colorado all along. The moment we met, there was just that connection, you know?

The kind that makes you feel like you’ve known someone for a while. A year later, we reunited for a couples session, and honestly? That shoot was a much needed reconnect. When I revisited this album recently, I realized I had been sitting on some of my favorite frames, quiet moments I never shared. Mostly black and white, because some just feel better that way. Better late than never, right? 🖤 Shot under

I shot their wedding last year on super-8, and one that will stay with me for a long time. There’s something about the way this film holds the light, the warmth, the moments that fill in between.. This one feels like a warm hug. The kind you can return to, over and over again.
