At Artists Amongst Us, we aim to provide artists in Denver with a place to collaborate, connect, and thrive.

Where artists across disciplines—writers, performers, musicians, dancers, visual artists, filmmakers, and anyone in between—can come to share works-in-progress, test new ideas, and connect with other creative minds.

Chamamé is a traditional partner dance from Argentina, born from folk roots and filled with warmth and joy. Its music carries a distinctive 6/8 or 3/4 rhythm, think light, lilting, and almost polka-like, inviting dancers to glide in a close embrace with flowing, gentle steps. It’s less about flashy figures and more about connection, musicality, and the shared heartbeat between partners.

Step into the poetry of Argentina this Sunday at 4:30PM with Los Ocampo’s Zamba class.

Born in Salta, Tucumán, and Santiago del Estero, the Zamba is a courtship dance of grace and longing, it’s danced with handkerchiefs, sung to guitar and bombo, and carried on a 6/8 rhythm.

Join us to feel its elegance, symbolism, and romance in every step.
