This course introduces the fundamentals of American Mah Jongg, the version standardized by the National Mah Jongg League. Through hands-on learning and guided play, you'll gain a solid understanding of:
• The history of Mah Jongg
• The tiles and their meanings
• Essential Mah Jongg terminology
• The National Mah Jongg League card
• Rules, gameplay, and etiquette
Basic strategies to help you begin playing with confidence
By the end of the course, you'll be able to set up a game, understand the flow of play, read the card, and start enjoying this fascinating game of skill, strategy, and a little luck.
No experience necessary. Just bring your curiosity and get ready to have fun!
WHEN: 2 consecutive Days in ONE WEEK / 6 hours
Sept 1 & 2 10:00 to 12:30
LOCATION: Earth Glass & Fire 197 ROUTE 6A Dennis
COST: Cost $125 for the entire two class series and includes lots of one-on-one instruction and after class support as you begin your Mah Jongg journey.
2026 NATIONAL MAH JONGG LEAGUE CARDS:
Students may order their 2026 cards directly from the National Mah Jongg League. The instructor will also have cards available for purchase at the first class for $15 .
PAYMENT: Class is paid by CASH ONLY the first class directly to the Instructor.
