I started The Box Babe when Baker was just 3 months old.

Freshly postpartum and home with a newborn, I somehow decided it was the perfect time to start a business 🫣

After struggling with postpartum depression the first time around, I was scared of feeling that way again… The Box Babe gave me a creative outlet, kept my mind busy, and gave me purpose outside of motherhood.

I always joke that I was too busy planning other kids’ parties to have time to be sad… but there’s a lot of truth behind it. 🥹

And the sweetest part? Baker has been along for the ride from the very beginning.

In a way, we started it together 🩵✨

Never thought I’d be crying in a coffee shop on a Tuesday over Dolly Parton. 🥹💗

I grew up on Dolly and her music, and some of my sweetest childhood memories are going to Dollywood with my brother. There was just always something so special about her—the music, the magic, and most of all, the person she chose to be despite life’s circumstances.

I’d like to think Dolly is up there singing with Jesus now. 🤍

What a beautiful reminder to be kind, to stay authentic, and to never be afraid to be exactly who God made you to be. Dolly was unapologetically herself while still making everyone around her feel loved, and that’s something I’ll always aspire to.

“Find out who you are and do it on purpose.”

Rest easy, Dolly. Your music—and your kindness—will live on. 💗
