Nate: Is your son feeling better?

April: Yeah! The doctor gave him some antibiotics and that fixed him right up.

Nate: That’s great! Antibiotics works for strep? I thought it was a virus.

April: No strep is a bacteria, called streptococcus. Coccus (or cocci) refers to the spherical shape of the bacteria and strep refers to how it’s grouped together in long chains.

Nate: ………I sometimes forget you use to be a lab technician with a degree in microbiology. You are way overqualified for this job you know.

April: I know
