𝘼 𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚. 𝘼 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙡𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩. 𝘼 𝙬𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩. 🕯️

Last night, we had the pleasure of once again opening the doors of BLANCHE for 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙧 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗: 𝙉𝙚𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙏𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙀𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, a beautiful evening of community, connection, and giving back.

Hosted by Robbie Jester and his talented team at In Jest Events, this intimate, candlelit dining experience for 40 guests was part of a wonderful initiative organized by Robyn Sheehan of Hockessin Gossip Girls (the original group), benefiting the Neighborhood Table and helping provide holiday meals for Delaware neighbors experiencing homelessness and food insecurity.

And what an evening it was! Together, this generous community raised enough to help provide meals for approximately 300 people. 🤍

We were delighted to contribute our space, table linens, and a warm, welcoming setting for Robyn’s guests to gather around the table.

The evening’s autumn-inspired menu was something special, beginning with individually plated apple and beet salads, followed by family-style servings of roasted squash cavatelli and red wine-braised beef short ribs with smoked-cheddar grits, root vegetables, broccolini, and roasted mushroom jus. And to finish? Individually plated apple c***r doughnut bread pudding with vanilla-bean ice cream and bourbon caramel. Yes, please!

A special thank-you to Robyn for bringing this meaningful cause to our community, and to Robbie and the entire In Jest team for another incredible dining experience.

We were also especially happy to connect with Athena and Ted Wolfer of Red Maple Insurance Group — our very own insurance agents! — who generously returned as Head of Table sponsors.

And a little behind-the-scenes peek? Our BRIQUE lifestyle photo studio traded its usual photo sessions for a built out bustling catering kitchen, where Robbie’s team worked their magic. We love seeing our spaces take on a whole new purpose for events.

A little behind-the-scenes look at Jazmin’s “Diamond of the Season” bridal shower from this past spring — with two of our favorite vendor partners caught in action while bringing the vision together.

Marleny of Globitos Lindos worked her balloon and decor magic throughout the space, while Floss of our Delaware City neighbor, The Cake Sisters Pastry Arts Studio, helped bring all of those sweet treats and tea sandwiches finishing touches to life.

There’s something extra special about seeing the talented people behind the scenes, fluffing, styling, arranging, adjusting, and making sure every little detail feels just right before guests arrive.

Such a beautiful day, such a fun setup, and such a lovely reminder that the best events are always a team effort. 🤍

One of the most rewarding things I’ve had the privilege of doing is standing beside couples in the moment they become married. 🤍

Somehow, over the past six years, I’ve now officiated 70 elopement and wedding ceremonies in the studio (and a couple out of!) — seventy different love stories, seventy “I dos,” and seventy moments I’ve been trusted to be a small part of.

𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒍𝒚? That still feels pretty incredible to me.

I’ll never take for granted being invited into such an intimate, meaningful moment in someone’s life. Here’s to ceremony couple no. 71 and all the beautiful stories still to come. 🥂✨
