𝑫𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝟐𝟎𝟎 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓
— and there’s something incredibly special about being part of a town with so much history, heart, and community.

𝑨𝒔 𝒘𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒇𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝑴𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒂𝒚, we’re especially reminded of the generations of soldiers connected to Delaware City, Fort Delaware, and Fort DuPont —whose service and sacrifice helped shape the story of this waterfront town across centuries. Today, we honor the brave men and women who served our country, especially the fallen heroes whose legacy lives on in communities like ours.

𝑨𝒔 𝒏𝒆𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒎𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒄 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒍 𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈, Ashley and I (𝘏𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘺 𝘚𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯 & 𝘗𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘵 𝘚𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘰) wanted to celebrate this Bicentennial year in a meaningful way. We dressed our little corner of town in red, white, and blue as a tribute to both Delaware City’s history and the heroes we remember today 🇺🇸

We feel incredibly grateful to create and grow in a town that continues to preserve its stories, traditions, and sense of community generation after generation.

𝘼 𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙇𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙐𝙥𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚 🤍

𝙎𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝘽𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙤 𝙎𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝘿𝙤𝙬𝙣. Over the last couple of weeks, I had been battling laryngitis, an almost complete loss of voice, and a lingering sore throat — and I worked right through it. As some of you know, I also deal with autoimmune issues (chronic active EBV), and unfortunately, because I didn’t slow down and give myself the proper rest my body needed, I became very ill early this past week to the point of severe ear and throat pain, etc.

While I owed email responses and floor plans to clients this week, I truly needed to rest it off — and by rest, I mean sleep it off. Waking up in 5min intervals, and right back to sleep again.

I officially returned back to work yesterday evening and jumped right back into event rentals, even though I’m still not feeling 100%. Thankfully, I do feel considerably better today. Yes, I’m still coughing. Yes, you can hear it in my chest. I’m no longer in pain though. Urgent care gave me an all clear to return to work yesterday morning. And yes, I’m still keeping my distance.

With that being said, I’ll be returning emails today now that our Saturday event rental has begun. I truly appreciate everyone’s patience, kindness, and understanding while I took the time my body clearly needed.

I’m looking forward to getting your questions answered, inquiries handled, event rentals updated, and floor plans completed.
