A Full Disclosure: This is a lengthy post—but one very much worth sharing.
While I may not post as frequently as I once did, please do not mistake my silence for inactivity. Chase Mosko Design continues to have the immense privilege of creating extraordinary celebrations for our cherished clients. Yet some events are simply too beautiful, too meaningful, and too unforgettable not to share.
This past weekend, Chase Mosko Design was in full flourish along the banks of the Hiawassee River in Delano, Tennessee, at the breathtaking Hiawassee River Wedding & Event Venue, for the marriage celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Drae Stamper
Allow me to begin by saying that this wedding was nothing short of spectacular. I have had the joy of knowing the Watts family for several years, and I can say without hesitation that they are among the most remarkable people one could ever hope to meet. Every member of the family possesses a rare combination of grace, kindness, beauty, and authenticity. Quite honestly, one might imagine they stepped directly from the pages of a timeless fairy tale.
I was in Hong Kong when I received a late-night call sharing the wonderful news that Chloe Stamper was engaged. I quite literally leapt with excitement. Instantly, I knew this would be a celebration for the ages.
There was, however, one unique challenge. Chloe was immersed in medical school, meaning many of the design decisions would be entrusted to her extraordinarily elegant and devoted mother, Jamie Boggs Watts, and myself. Without hesitation, we embarked upon the journey together. Planning a wedding from opposite sides of the world, separated by 13 hours and thousands of miles, proved to be both an adventure and a delight.
The ceremony itself was enchanting. Inspired by the ethereal romance of 'Twilight', a pristine white aisle and altar created a dreamlike setting beneath the open sky. Reception tables were draped in sumptuous silk faille linens in the most exquisite shade of periwinkle. Beneath towering trees of lilacs, guests dined amidst a garden meadow nestled with sage chinoiserie vessels overflowing with blue delphinium and iris; along the accompaniment of French tulips, and delicate Princess Hitomi roses. The entire scene glowed beneath the soft flicker of French blue candlelight.
And then there was the sweetheart table.
What a vision it was. A sweeping festoon of vibrant florals cascaded to the floor, creating a breathtaking focal point worthy of the occasion. Even the staircase leading guests down to the Hiawassee River for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres was lavishly adorned with lush hydrangeas, ornamental cabbages, and abundant blooms.
Every detail felt touched by magic.
In fact, the atmosphere was so perfectly serene that several guests genuinely believed we had piped nature sounds through the sound system—when in reality, the birds themselves provided the soundtrack, singing joyfully throughout the day.
It is difficult to express the depth of my gratitude to the Watts family for entrusting my team and me with such a momentous occasion. Being invited into life's most meaningful celebrations is a privilege I never take for granted.
Chloe, Drae, and sweet little Sawyer (our beloved "Sally" 💗), thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your beautiful story. My heart is full. I adore you all more than words can adequately express, and I pray that your future together is filled with every blessing, immeasurable joy, enduring love, and a lifetime of happiness.
