Birthday Celebration last night at Union House with loads of decorated pumpkins and gords. Locally grown pumpkins and my summer succulents along with locally grown gomphrena to add a pop of color. I love making the squirrely vines with yarn to add more texture and color.

Help me in congratulating our GOLD placing National FFA Floriculture team, Lake Geneva Badgers, today in Indianapolis!
This team has worked so hard all year at Regionals, State, and practicing a lot the past two months. They have even done all day mock tests with myself at the studio to prepare for the intensive pressure you feel at Nationals.

This year at Nationals they competed in...
Team event - Farm to table theme
Individual Design - Smiley mug
Media Selling- Grocery bouquet upsell
Greenhouse Management - Pointsettia root rot
Greenhouse Procedures- Pinching succulents
Identification- 40 plants, flowers, tools, pest disorders
Written test - multiple choice and problem solving
Pricing practicum- fresh floral design based

A huge round of applause for these four as they have learned so much in a short amount of time.

Lots of Thank Yous to those who have supported this team and added knowledge and value to their experience.

Cheers to a stunning stylized photoshoot with a fierce team of wedding vendors at a magical venue.

Paloma brought me a triple finger sterling silver ring base and after a bit of perculating ideas on how to start some beautiful ideas emerged.

A champagne 🍾 pop and tower pour is the exact ambiance for a floral ring.

While we were watching the last portion of the photoshoot Paloma said a name and my head whipped around so fast! Say...what, who, how...what just happened?

She recognized me and my voice apparently is very rememberable. I disagree, lol, Minie Mouse is cute, but not 6 foot tall.

So, to solve the mystery I trained her in a flower shop way way back in the day and left the poor gal to deal with the Greek all by herself while I continued on my flower journey. I'm sorry, but so happy to see her happy and thriving. It's a very small world after all.
