IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE & CLARIFICATION
Pickin’ in the Panhandle has made the decision to cancel tomorrow’s event due to the weather. The organizers plan to reschedule the event for the spring.
We would also like to clarify that Pickin’ in the Panhandle is an independently operated event that rented the Walton County Fairgrounds as its venue. It is not an event organized or managed by the Walton County Fair.
Like any outside organization that rents our facilities, all admission prices, vendor fees, ticketing, refunds, event policies, cancellations and rescheduling decisions are determined by the event organizer. The Walton County Fair has no involvement in setting those prices or policies.
When we share these events on our page, we are simply reposting and helping promote the information provided to us by the event organizer. Information regarding their admission prices, vendor fees and event policies can be found through their own website and Facebook posts.
We also want to clarify that several vendors who were originally scheduled to participate canceled because of the weather and have chosen to reschedule for the spring event. This is why there were fewer booths in attendance than originally anticipated.
The Walton County Fairgrounds is proud to provide rental space for a variety of community and privately operated events throughout the year. However, renting our facilities does not mean an event is produced, priced or managed by the Walton County Fair.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding, and we look forward to welcoming Pickin’ in the Panhandle and its vendors back to the fairgrounds this spring.
