We will providing a variety of Midwest blooms and other fun blooms this growing season. BB & B will provide subscription services, farmstand sales, and custom bouquets. Backyard Blooms & Bouquets strives to be affordable and long lasting blooms.

🌸 HOMECOMING 2026 🌸

A little Homecoming update from Backyard Blooms…

We WILL be offering Homecoming florals this year, but on a much SMALLER scale. 💐

We have a couple of weddings throughout Homecoming season, and this is also my son’s senior football season. That means I’m protecting a few of those Friday nights so I can soak up every last minute under those lights. 🥹🏈

So many of you are parents yourselves, or have watched just how quickly these seasons with our kids come and go, and I know you’ll understand why showing up for him needs to be a priority for me this year. There will always be more flowers to design, but I only get one senior year with him. ❤️

We’ll be accepting a limited number of bouquets, corsages and boutonnières for each Homecoming date, and once those spots are filled, we’ll close ordering for that school.

This is just a little Homecoming slowdown for this season. We hope to be back with more Homecoming availability next year…

And PROM?! Oh, we’ll be back for Prom FOR SURE. 🌸✨ We wouldn’t miss that for the world!

🦋 Until We Bloom Again

And just like that…our final Subscription Saturday of 2026 is here. 💐

For our last bouquet, I wanted it to feel completely Backyard Blooms & Bouquets which I have always felt is a little wild, a little whimsical, and full of movement. So we ended the season with a Butterfly Bouquet, filled with some of the most whimsical blooms from our gardens. Flowers that flutter, dance, bend and reach…because that garden-gathered feeling has always been our signature.

But more than anything, this bouquet is a thank you.😊 🫶

Thank you for letting us grow flowers for you all summer. For putting our bouquets on your kitchen tables, gifting them to people, sharing pictures with us, and sometimes becoming our friends. ❤️🌸

There’s something a little bittersweet about packing up those empty buckets today. But mostly, I just feel incredibly grateful.

I hope these flowers brought a little extra beauty into your summer, and I really, really hope we get to do it all over again with you next year. 🥹

Subscription Saturday 🌸🍂

And just like that…we only have ONE Subscription Saturday left for summer 2026. 🥹💐

You can almost see the seasons changing in this week’s bouquets. The bright pinks of summer are still hanging on, but those deeper tones, dusty roses and golden yellows are starting to sneak in. 🍂

I swear we just started filling the back of the car with subscription bouquets…and now we’re down to one more Saturday.

Summer, you went way too fast. 💕🌸

Okay, I need a minute. 🥹🌸

These photos from one of our June weddings landed in my inbox and I was scrolling through thinking, “Wow, those flowers are gorgeous…”

And then it hit me.

I MADE THOSE. 😂

There is just something completely different about seeing your work through a photographer’s lens. The soft pinks, buttery yellows, pops of blue, garden roses, peonies, delphinium and all those sweet little details came together even better than I remembered. 💛🩵🌸

And can we talk about those centerpieces?! Simple bud vases, beautiful blooms and candlelight…proof that you don’t have to go huge to make a table feel special.

Wedding days are usually such a blur for me. I’m designing, loading, delivering, setting up and moving on to the next thing, so getting photos like these months later feels a little bit like getting to experience the wedding all over again.

Still kind of staring at them thinking…

Backyard Blooms & Bouquets did that. 🥹🐝🌸

And I’m pretty darn proud of this one.

So many amazing teachers, aides, paras, and school staff were tagged, and I loved seeing all the names pop up over and over again. There are clearly some pretty special people taking care of our kiddos. 💕

Better late than never, right?

This week’s bouquets are FULL of what the gardens are giving us right now, including our Agave Zinnias. I love these funky, spiky blooms so much. They remind me of something you’d find growing in the desert. 🌵

And is it just me, or are the gardens starting to hint at fall? 👀 Those oranges, golds, rusts and deeper pinks are sneaking in, even though we’re still very much soaking up summer.

Only a few Subscription Saturdays left, and somehow that feels impossible. 🥹🌸

We are celebrating our good friend Ashley with Jo & Co Bakery today as she celebrates her ONE YEAR anniversary today down at the Mercy Market this morning. We gave ten mini bouquets for her to give to her first 10 customers as a way of thanking the community for BLOOMING with her. We hope she has the BEST market day today! 🫶🍪💐

Garden snapshots 🌸

We’ve been a little quiet because this is what we’ve been up to. 💚 Between harvesting, weeding, designing, and soaking in these summer days and evenings, the gardens have been keeping us busy.

A little Backyard Blooms milestone… 🌼

If you’ve followed us for a while, you know Backyard Blooms has always been a tiny family business. It’s been me, Patrick, and Luke… with some pretty amazing friends and family jumping in over the years whenever we’ve had a crazy wedding weekend, homecoming, prom, or big event. We truly couldn’t have done it without every single one of them.💐🫶

But as our wedding calendar keeps growing, we’ve reached a point where we need a little more consistent help. So I’m so excited to officially welcome our first volunteer team members, Charley and Ella! 💛

I’ve watched these two grow up alongside Luke. They’ve gone to school together since they were little, and now all three attend St. Teresa. It’s honestly kind of surreal that they’re old enough to be helping create weddings with me.

This fall you’ll see them helping with our larger weddings, setting up, designing, carrying buckets (lots of buckets 😅), and making sure every event comes together beautifully.

It’s a little bittersweet realizing our little three-person family business has grown to this point, but mostly it’s exciting. I’m so thankful Charley and Ella are willing to be part of this next chapter.
