Kind of a bittersweet day . . . I have met lots of people over the past 34 years, many of them being brides-to-be. But after officially being in the flower business for 11 years, today I delivered flowers for my last wedding, as a business. I'm not saying it will be the last wedding I ever do. Who knows! I can't imagine not using the gifts God has given me when it comes to flowers, but we will see.
I've truly enjoyed doing each and every one of them. I've prayed alot about it, whether to close the doors or not, and call it done. I left it in God's hands, and it just feels right. I feel at peace with it. There comes a time in your life when the meaning of "when one door closes, another will open" rings true. I will be waiting in anticipation for what lies on the other side of it.
I know I've always wanted a greenhouse/summer kitchen. A place where I can grow plants to donate, and a place to do my yearly fruit/veggie canning. We will see how that all pans out, but in the meantime, I will keep my heart and ears wide open for His next move.
Thanks to all of you who I've had the pleasure of serving, and those of you who have supported me over the years!
