And we couldn’t be more proud to introduce the artist behind it, Erin Machado. Her design roots the festival in its history and place, weaving together a dancer honoring the Dance Festival’s 25th anniversary, a butterfly (an iconic symbol of our neighborhood), and the central intersection at the heart of it all.

Erin is an Atlanta-born artist and architectural designer whose work centers the relationship between people and their environments, with a focus on women’s lived experiences and the tension and harmony between heritage and contemporary life. Growing up in Atlanta within a Cuban household, her work balances nostalgia with humor, tenderness, and whimsy.

She first came to the art world through Atlanta’s festivals, and we love that her journey brings her back to us. ✨
