These days, couples don't meet the day before their wedding. Or, at least I hope not.

I used to have different packages like everyone else, but it always made me uncomfortable.

I never knew what to include, or not include, in each one. And every package under the top tier meant compromising somewhere. Less time, fewer hours, a rushed edit. That's not a game I wanted to play with someone's wedding day. For couples getting married, they have no idea what the true value of one package versus another is, or if they're being pushed toward the more expensive package.

So I took a simpler path: one all-inclusive collection. The tools and time I need to make the best wedding film possible, standard for every couple I work with. No tiers. No upsells.

Kelsey and Justin met on a dating app and spent 8 years together before saying "I do" at Pine Haven Venue & Lodging just outside Rapid City in the Black Hills. Their wedding day was full of laughter, happy tears, and candid moments with the friends and family who've watched their story unfold. But nothing broke through quite like their private vows, where both of them fought back tears trying to get the words out.

I'm not scrolling Instagram, trying to find the latest trend to use in my wedding films.

I don't follow the most "renowned" wedding filmmakers to see what they do next.

The only wedding videographers I care about are the ones I actually know.

I'm not going to show up to your wedding and have you act like you're in a Wes Anderson movie because that's what's cool now.

I'm not shaping your day around what's going to look good on my portfolio.

I'm not staging a "candid" moment so it looks more cinematic.

I'm not going to tell you how your wedding day should unfold based on what I saw in someone else's reel.

I show up, I watch what's actually happening, and I film it. That's it. That's the whole approach.

Your wedding isn't content. It's not a trend cycle. It happened once, exactly the way it happened. That's what I'm there to capture.

Hey, I'm Nathaniel.

I got my start in sports videography, where you learn fast that there are no do-overs. The play happens once, and you either catch it or you don't (pun intended). That mindset is exactly what I bring to weddings now.

You won't see me directing you into poses for a "perfect" shot. Same as covering a game, I'm there to capture what's actually happening in real time: the nervous hands before the ceremony, the joke your dad tells at the toast, the way your grandma cries when she sees you. Those are the moments you'll want back in 20 years.

Home is in the Black Hills with my wife and very energetic 2 year-old son. You can find us on a hiking trail, in a brewery, or going to Storybook Island yet again.
