We are excited to announce the winner of the Embry-Riddle 90th Anniversary Photo Contest! Alumna, Dawn (Thaca) Elkins submitted the below picture of her son and his great grandfather, taking in the airplanes at the airport.

We had so many amazing and creative entries for the 90th Anniversary photo contest that it made it very difficult to choose. Many pictures pulled at the heart strings and illustrated the undeniable Embry-Riddle spirit and support of our friends, family, alumni, industry partners and faculty and staff. We’ll be sharing some of our favorite and submissions from the contest on social media.

This one particular picture showed the impact of aviation across generations and inspired us to think back to those who introduced us to our passions.

We will be holding more contests on social media throughout 2016, so stay tuned for the next contest!

University’s 90th Anniversary Yearlong Celebration Will Culminate in Ultimate Aviation Event in Daytona Beach, Fla.

As the world’s largest and oldest university specializing in aviation and aerospace celebrates its 90th birthday, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University confirms the dates of what is expected to be the biggest air show it has hosted to date during the 2015 National BusinessAviation Association (NBAA) in Las Vegas.

Embry-Riddle’s Wings & Waves Air Show will be Oct. 8-9 in Daytona Beach, Fla., with performances over the Atlantic Ocean at the beachside, public event.
