Maybe you’d spend more time with your guests, choose a different vendor, skip a tradition that didn’t feel like “you,” or simply relax and enjoy the day more.

If you’re already married, what’s one thing you’d do differently? And if you’re planning your wedding, these answers might give you something to think about! 💍

Planning a wedding means making a lot of decisions together—but have you talked about your finances, too? 💍💰

Money may not be the most romantic topic, but being open and honest about finances can help couples build trust, strengthen teamwork, and create a more secure future together.

Financial transparency isn't about agreeing on everything—it's about making sure you and your partner understand where you stand and where you're headed.

Here's why open conversations about money matter in a relationship. https://weddingsfromtheheartblog.net/2026/08/20/financial-transparency/

“Every flower tells a story… Choosing flowers for their symbolism makes a bouquet so much more than just a beautiful arrangement—it becomes a reflection of love, memories, and emotions.”

One of my readers left this beautiful comment on my post about wedding flower symbolism, and I just had to share it.

Flowers aren't just decoration. They can tell your story, too.

What flower has special meaning to you?

Always Opt for Your Baker to Deliver Your Wedding Cake!
Saving money is great, but trust us—this isn’t the place to cut costs.

Here’s why:
✔ Your baker has the experience to transport your cake safely and set it up perfectly.
✔ Complex cakes might not come assembled. Your baker knows how to handle those tall, intricate designs.

Think of the delivery charge as “insurance” for your wedding cake arriving in pristine condition—not an extra expense.

If you’re looking for wedding planning advice that’s practical, creative, and no-nonsense, let me introduce myself. 😊

I’m Jean Neuhart, the person behind Weddings From The Heart. I spent 27 years as a wedding planner and coordinator, and while I retired from hands-on planning in 2021, I never really left the wedding world.

In my new “About Jean” post, I share a little of my story — from planning my own wedding and discovering that I loved the process, to working with couples in ballrooms, barns, backyards, and museums, to writing books and building this blog.

There’s even a 32-inch wrought iron Eiffel Tower, a barn cat with questionable timing, and a few stories from along the way. 😂

If you’ve ever wondered who’s behind all those wedding planning tips, come meet Jean.
