Short answer: absolutely not.
You donât need to know your angles or practice in front of a mirror. Thatâs my job. I guide you through every movement, from where to place your hands to how to tilt your chin. Itâs not about forcing you into stiff poses. Itâs about creating shapes and movement that highlight your natural beauty. By the end of your session, youâll feel like a pro.

Privacy is one of the biggest concerns women share with me, and I want you to know your photos are never shared without your permission. Period. You are in complete control over what stays private and what I can post.
If you do choose to share, youâll decide which type of model release feels right:
⨠Full release: I can use any images from your session
⨠Limited release: I can only use the images you personally select
⨠Anonymous release: I can only use images that donât show your face
Many women keep their photos just for themselves or their partner. Others feel empowered to share, and every option is valid. This is your experience, and your boundaries are always respected.

Letâs talk about model releases
Every womanâs story is unique, and so is her level of comfort with how her photos are shared. While I always hold the copyright to all images (meaning Iâm the creator of the work), YOU get to decide how those images are shared publicly.
Here are the options youâll have after your session:
đ¸ Full Model Release â You give me permission to share any of your images. Perfect if youâre excited to inspire other women on their empowerment journey!
đ¸ Limited Model Release â You choose specific images that Iâm allowed to share. You stay in control of what the world sees.
đ¸ Anonymous Model Release â Only non-identifiable images (like silhouettes, detail shots, or cropped images) may be shared. Your privacy is protected, but your beauty still shines through.
đ¸ No Model Release â Your images remain 100% private and are never shared publicly.
Your comfort is my top priority, always.
Whether you want to shout your confidence from the rooftops or keep it as a personal treasure, the choice is completely yours. Because empowerment looks different for everyone.

Letâs bust one of the biggest bo***ir myths right now:
You donât have to wear lingerie to have an empowering session.
Sure, some of my clients rock a lacy setâand they look amazingâbut others wear oversized sweaters, bodysuits, jeans and a bra, a silky robe, or even a crisp white sheet. What matters most is how you feel in what youâre wearing.
My goal? Is to capture the most confident, radiant version of youâwhatever that looks like. Youâll get guidance on wardrobe before the session (and access to my studio closet if you want it!).
So if youâve been holding off because you donât âdoâ lingerie, let this be your sign: bo***ir is about you, not the outfit.

Hello love! My name is Dorothy, and most days you will find me behind something. That is not to say that I am hiding. You will find me behind a computer editing photos for my amazing clients, or crunching numbers for a tax return. I may be behind my family loving and cheering them, or behind a great book getting lost in a fantasy. I am often behind the stove in my kitchen making some new and (hopefully) fantastic dish for my family to devour. You will frequently find me behind a camera capturing that special moment worth preserving forever.
âI married my best friend on a gorgeous, unseasonably warm day in October of 2005. Not only did I gain a husband, but also my first child, a step-daughter. In 2008, we welcomed our son into this world. In 2013, after having a miscarriage in 2011, we finished our family when our daughter was born. It was then that I started taking photos. It began as a hobby, and certainly has grown since!
We enjoy to hop in our camper and run off to someplace new to relax and sightsee. I love to experience life, spend time with my family, and go for a gorgeous hike. In fact, I am always looking for someone to hike with, so please keep me in mind next time you go!
I am a pretty simple woman living a pretty simple life. I do not need fancy things to make me happy. Give me my camera on a gorgeous day, and I will give you a happy lady and a beautiful photo!
Photography is my passion. That is what I truly love to do. I love being able to give a client that moment in time. I aim to catch the authentic laugh, and illustrate the genuine love you have for each other in every photo.
I strive to not only capture that moment, but to make your time with me an experience.
