How much tape do I need now?
Part 2
Once all the prints came in from the lab, we would carefully right the image number on the back every print.
We would then begin putting the prints in order for the couple's album.
Every print would be taped to the back of mat.
That mat would slide into a page front and back.
Then the pages would be put into the album.

Now that the albums are done digitally by the lab, I don't think I need as much tape.

While working with this amazing family to get their two daughters photographed just two weeks apart, it was brought to my attention that Childers Photography did their aunt's wedding in 2011. So, of course I had to pull up some images.
In looking back at the photos, I discovered that I was an assistant at Aunt Debbie's wedding. Wow, it is amazing how fast time goes by. From Flowergirls to Brides and
from assistant to lead photographer and business operator. Doesn't seem possible.

This is why it is important to hire a wedding photographer that is going to be around and grow with you. These are once in a lifetime moments. As you look back at images and moments that have been forgotten, you feel all the joy and love for those people in that moment. Sentences all start to begin with "Remember when....."
We share stories of how little the kids were and now they have kids of their own and
sharing the cherished stories of the loved ones we have lost to the younger generation who will grow up without them but somehow are just like those we remember.

So, how much tape is really needed?
Part 1
Back before digital, we use to pack up and ship out lots of rolls of film every week. In return we would get approximately 150-350 5x5 printed proofs. We would sort those and put them in an album with an ordering sheet.
The couple would come in and pick up the proof book. Take it home and choose the images they wanted for their album and home.
They would also show the proofs to their parents, family and friends. Everyone who wanted photographs place the order on the pages next to each image.
The couple would come back with the book filled with orders and we would total everything up.
Each negative would be pulled, numbered, and marked with the order, then packaged up and sent to the lab to be printed.
