The stage is set, it's a beautiful evening in the park, the only thing missing is YOU! Join us tonight as the Tom Daugherty Orchestra takes the stage for a free live concert from 7-9pm. Gem City Swing will even be here to offer a swing dance lesson during intermission so that you can dance the night away in style! We will see you soon!

We have our normal Tuesday dance, a special big band night at RiverScape on Thursday, and our 10th anniversary on Saturday!! That's THREE opportunities to dance with us this week!

We have another super busy month ahead! Here are some important dates to mark on your calendars:

-Friday, August 1st-Sunday, August 3rd: CincyHop

-Saturday, August 2nd: 10th Anniversary sweatshirt sales close (link in our bio) AND GCS teaches a 30 min beginner lesson at the Schuster Center Wintergarden from 1:30-2pm for Downtown Dayton's Art in the City

-Tuesday, August 12th: 10th Anniversary pre-sale online tickets close (buying online saves you $5! Highly recommend!)

-Thursday, August 14th: big band night at RiverScape MetroPark w/ beginner lesson during the band break from us

-Saturday, August 16th: Practice Session at 10am at the Czech Club AND GCS 10th Anniversary Party at America's Packard Museum! $30 at the door. 6:30-10:30pm

-Saturday, August 30th: GCS supports the Miami Valley Veterans Museum and our member, Bobbie, who is competing in this year's Dancing with the Miami Valley Stars by attending a fundraiser dance; Michael Solomon Pavilion; $10 (tell them you're there for Bobbie). 6:30-10:30pm

The Whirlybirds are playing for us THIS TUESDAY! That's right, we're having a band night 🎶 $15 admission for 7pm lesson & 8pm social dance OR $10 admission for social dance only!

Another spectacular Big Band Night at RiverScape MetroPark with the Kim Kelly Orchestra! We are so proud to offer the beginner swing dance class during the big band intermissions. There's only one more left this summer--join us on August 14th!
