Unpopular opinion: there is no right or wrong way to set your table for your reception.

I love getting creative with how to fold napkins and then setting the flatware based on how the napkin is folded versus the other way around.

How do you do it? Well, it starts with your vision. You first need to decide how you want your wedding day to look & feel. Here are some questions you can ask yourselves::

Do we want a large or small wedding?Ā 
Should it be formal or more casual?Ā 
What do we want to put more emphasis on? (think florals or entertainment)

These are just a few questions you can start with once you begin wedding planning. They will be the foundational concepts that will allow you to dig deeper into your wedding vision, as a couple.Ā

Three tips when hiring a florist:
1. Always go for deliveryā€¦ always.
2. Pick a florist to work with that meets your vision & style. (Wedding vendors are not all created equally, & thats a good thing. Plenty of business for everyone!)
3. When you have your consultation, learn all you can & add everything to the quote. You can always remove & adjust anything you donā€™t want bit being able to know what the cost for certain things are is helpful to know in narrowing your budget & making a well informed decision.

Whether you prefer a live band or DJ, talking with them in length to understand their performance style is key PRIOR to booking. Talking with your photographer & expressing any particular moments you want captured is key. Your photographer & planner are working together to make your wedding day timing flawless. It all comes down to the order of events timed in a way so youā€™re ready to enjoy every moment šŸ„°šŸ„°

3 Tips for florals:
* make sure your florals are on season. Choosing out of season blooms can be costly.
* work with your planner to hire a florist that will install your decor as part of their service
* consider everyone involved in the ceremony to have a floral accoutrement (boutonniĆØre, bouquet, or corsage). It doesnā€™t hurt to include the right people & make them feel šŸ„°
