Growing up I was one of the “lucky ones” that still had their great grandparents. And I was so blessed to have them for more than half of my life. I was able to have a wonderful and close relationship with them until I was 22 years old. Can you believe it? I was so blessed and I am so grateful for that. Neal and Margaret Higgins, my great grandparents, were the most creative, kind-hearted, and lov

ing people that I ever knew. And I think you would agree with me if you had had the chance to meet them. Neal and Margaret Higgins were the best-of-the-best in all aspects of life. They had the “Old Atlanta” southern draw, a dining room table always set with the prettiest china, and an overwhelming, welcoming spirit. They were literally the BEST. My great grandparents were (and still are) very special to me and have had a very big impact on my life, creatively and in other aspects. Neal and Margaret Higgins were known to all as ‘Neal and Sister’. Family members, friends, acquaintances they all called them ‘Neal and Sister’. I always knew that I wanted to have my own little business one day and I knew that I wanted to incorporate my great grandparents in my business somehow. While chatting with my mom about my new business endeavors we were discussing my business name. Thoughts of naming it ‘Neal and Sister’ were brought up, but something was just not right. It wasn’t clicking. That’s when my mom remembered a story about my great grandparent’s long-time neighbors. They knew, like everyone else, that they were called ‘Neal and Sister’, but they wanted to have their own unique nickname that only they called them. So, their neighbors came up with ‘Higgs and Hers’. Which is so cute and yet so original and so fitting all at the same time. Before my mom even finished the story, I knew that ‘Higgs & Hers’ was going to be my business’ name. It was a perfect fit and so creative, just like them! So here I am creating a dream worth growing and hoping everyone will join me on this new adventure! So, without further ado…

These two....They are simply breathtaking together! I remember listening to Samuel's toast to his new bride & in complete awe at the love he has for this beautiful bride! Ally's sweet patient personality made capturing their day that much more amazing! And their love story...simply precious!! Congratulations you two! Praying for a long & happy marriage for you both!
